Happy Memorial Day!

I hope everyone has been having a wonderful Memorial Weekend!

Well, here I am FINALLY posting my new 6 weeks goals.  I'm only a couple weeks behind! ;)

I did pretty good on my last goals.  I joined Weight Watchers online to help me learn to eat healthier.  I did really good on getting in my water every day.  I found two new places to workout.  As a result, I managed to lose 8.5 pounds.

I haven't been doing very good about getting in my workouts, so that's my focus this 6 weeks.  My goal is to accumulate a minimum of 25 WW activity points per week.  Which is about 4 workouts.  I will continue to get in my water and eat better.

I'm really impressed with everyone's success so far!  It's great seeing everyone doing so good.

Lots of Love,
Jaime Jo

Harv's last six weeks.

Sorry I am late with my end of six weeks post.  I made my goal to lose 6 lbs and I actually lost 8 lbs.  I did exercise everyday, which included walking 86 times, 24 hrs of wallyball and 144 miles on my trike.

My goal for the next six weeks is again to lose another 6 lbs.  I did something this past Tuesday night, which I haven't done in years.  Neil drug me out to Enumclaw to play full court basketball with the boys.  It wouldn't have been so bad except that I had played wallyball the night before and my right patella tendon gets to really hurting if it gets over used and that was definitely overuse.  However, it truly was fun.  Makes you wish you could lose about 35 years- haha.

I think it is wonderful the great success some are having with weight loss and regular exercise.  It is very good for all of us!  We all need encouragement and your successes help me succeed.

Soon we will all be at the end of another six weeks, with a little less girth and in better condition.  Now remember to be really successful - no chocolate, no sugar, no pastries, no carbs, no soft drinks, no booze, no breads, no ice cream, no nothing that tastes good, no worries- we will all be skinny soon.  Either that or not breathing with no heartbeat.  :)

Hi All!

Sorry I've been so terrible about posting on here lately.  I will do better!

I reached my goals this last 6 weeks.  I lost 14.8 pounds this 6 weeks and 21.6 since starting Family Get Fit!! WW is working!  It feels good.  But I have a long way to go.  1 pound at a time - right??

I haven't been as faithful with my workouts as before. So this 6 weeks my goals are to lose another 10 pounds, to continue getting in my 8 glasses of water, and to workout at least 4 times per week.

I'm so in awe of you who are working out everyday. It gives me something to strive for.

Keep moving everyone!

Linda

Well, I'm just a bit behind here ---- My goal the last 6 weeks was to lose 10 pounds, but alas I only lost 5 -- So why change things up now?  We'll go for 10 again this 6 weeks and maybe I'll at least get the other 5 off!!  I've been doing good with the exercise until this last week, things have just seemed SO busy --- but I do know that's just an excuse :(   We did ride the tour de cure, for diabetes again this year, which was a lot of fun .... we did the 25 mile course, which included some crazy hills----puff, puff!!

It was fun to see Bryce, though I failed to get a picture of him!  Hannah's changed a little since grandpa and grandma saw her last!!

Take care everyone ----  Love to all :)

Hello, World! :)

Hey, hey!!!

Where has everyone gone?

Anyway, honestly... I don't know if I was correct about it being six weeks, but I THINK so... ;)

Here is my post this week... Things are going well, I love my job and this was my first week of having 12 hour shifts and managed to get a workout in everyday.  I would get up in the morning and if felt wonderful to know I did something before I got to work and then in the evening when I was tired I didn't have to worry about trying to workout and get to bed at a decent time!

It has been beautiful here and I have been trying to take every advantage of the sunshine that I can! Yesterday I went down to Lincoln Park with Bryan and Sami and we did a really fun circuit with the TRX band, jump rope, resistance band and the park equipment - it was so fun to workout on the water!

Thought I would add in a picture to make it a little more entertaining - we have gone to the pool multiple times already and I love taking my waterproof camera case and taking pictures! Hannah is such a little fish :)

Hope everyone is doing well! Don't be a stranger ;)

Hugs, Brenda:)

PAM'S SIX WEEK GOALS (TO END JUNE 17)

My previous six-week goals went well.  I was able to maintain my weight and even lose some.  I am 5 lbs. below my goal where I want to be and 27 lbs. below my Weight Watchers goal.  Kept up on exercise everyday, along with my vitamins.  My real challenge now is when we travel in a couple weeks.  Sure, I can take my vitamins, drink my water, exercise, etc., etc., but all that stuff is going to be harder when I am not at home in my own little routine and in my own little comfort zone...so, I think the REAL test is coming!  Wish me luck...thought of Brenda as she begins her new job, working 12 hour days and trying to get her exercise in...it will be a challenge and she'll be tired...

Brenda:)

Hello everyone!!!

Sorry I have been failing miserably at posting on here.  I did love everyone's pictures though and since it is the end/beginning of another six weeks I need to get back on top of it.

As far as the last six weeks, I have done well. Nothing too exciting really, just plugging along! I have been getting in a workout everyday and last week decided I would completely cut out sweets and I was successful in that! I have found it is easier for me to cut out sweets altogether than limit it because once I have one then I want more! Anyway, just continuing to plug along!

As for the next six weeks, I am going to simplify my goals! Starting my job I know will challenge me in many ways including getting my workouts in - especially working 12 hour shifts.  So my goals are (1) to workout everyday and (2) to post one time per week on here!

Here's to a wonderful six weeks everyone!!!

Winner!

Ugh! I don't like this new Blogger layout. Anyways, that is beside the point.

Congratulations to JAIME JO- our scavenger hunt winner!!!! You won by two photos!! Nice work! I will send your prize out early next week.

How are you all doing?  Brenda, Anna, Neil- miss you.  Hope you are all doing well.  Proud of those of you who participated and did an awesome job on the scavenger hunt (Jaime, Donna, Pam, and Mom)!! :)

How's this six weeks going?

Doing well here.  Still down 13 pounds, and my main exercising right now is just walking, and only about two times a week.  But we are getting into biking a little more, now that the weather is getting better so that should help.  Our summer club pool also opens on Saturday, which will be very nice- Hannah loves the pool and I am looking forward to lab swimming again.

Cheers, Marianne
