Ready...Set....Go!

January 1st marks the start to our "Family Get Fit" goal!  Are you ready?

This is where you will leave a comment to let us know you had a good day and got a great 30+ min workout in.  Tell us what you did and always feel free to leave us tips of things that are helping you.

For this week before our plan starts I want everyone to set a goal- maybe it's a weight goal (lose __lbs by __-__-12, etc), maybe it's a health goal (drink more water, take vitamin daily, get off of certain medication, etc), maybe it's a personal goal (run 10 min miles, do a 5k before a certain date, sign up for a challenging class, etc).  Whats your goal?  How are you going to attain it? Do you have a plan?  Do you need other people to give you ideas?  We are going to check back in on goals in 6 weeks to see how everyone is doing.

This is a place for support and motivation- so don't be shy, we all must be open and honest with each other so we can all succeed!

Have a happy week!

  1. I'm in. I think it sounds like a great idea. I know its a lot easier to do something when they're motivated by others. I do classes most of the time because they help me to be motivated. When I just go to the gym and do the machines it's not nearly as much fun. NOT dumb at all Marianne!!! :)

  2. I guess I'll be the first to write my 6 week goal...so by February 15th (?)...is that 6 weeks? My goal is to lose 4.6 lbs. I have already been losing some weight...so actually that is my ultimate goal. Doesn't sound like much but that is where I want to be. I've already been working on it since we got home this summer. It will be HARD because that is all I have to lose...those last lbs. are hard to lose. Over Christmas I GAINED .2 lbs :(

  9. OK just got done with my first official 30 minute workout. Right now I'm thinking "what did I sign up for!", but will come back on after a bit. I'm sure I will feel better after I quit shaking!!

  10. I feel much better now! Earlier did a 2 mile walk with Leslie Sansone DVD. 30 minutes of gut wrenching pain! But do feel good now. I'm sure tomorrow I won't be able to move!

  13. Was up 5 times last night getting rid of all the liquid I had yesterday! Can't do that every night so I'm drinking my water early today!! Got half of it in so far. I should have weighed this morning to see how many pounds of fluid I lost, but didn't. Going to make Wednesday my "official" day to weigh in -- but those that know me well know that I have a hard time not weighing daily!

  14. Tom and I went to the gym this evening...I didn't see him til our workout was over...know he worked out :) I did the elliptical for 30 minutes then a leg machine...the elliptical said I burned like 400+ calories...wonder if that is really accurate? sounds like a lot to me? One down and a whole bunch to go! Glad for the encouragement.
